Junior Golf
Sterling Golf looks forward to continuing the strong tradition of Junior Golf Programs at Maynard Golf Course, using the expertise we have developed at our courses throughout Massachusetts. We are proud to offer a wealth of opportunities for youth to learn, play, and improve their game. Junior Lessons
Individual and group lessons are available for juniors ages 5 and up. Beginner lessons focus on creating a fun environment and building interest in golf, and teaching the fundamentals of game: from proper etiquette to how to swing. Advanced lessons focus on strategy and refining technique, answering questions like: where to aim, what club to hit, and how to play certain shots.
Junior Leagues
The MGC Junior Golf League presents a fun and friendly environment for kids of all ages to learn and improve their game, while playing together in a semi-competitive environment. Golf instruction will be given by our certified PGA Professional, and will focus on the fundamentals of the game. The Junior Golf league will run weekdays in July and August. More details to follow!
Junior Membership
If your son or daughter is interested in learning to play the game, wants to golf competitively, or simply wants to hang out more with family and friends on the course, we recommend the Junior membership. Maynard Golf Course is known for its strong junior programs, and our prices are some of the lowest in the area. Junior members get unlimited golf Monday through Friday, and after 2:00pm Saturday, Sunday and Holidays. The normal weekend greens fee will be charged for play before 2:00pm on weekends and Holidays. Juniors must be eighteen years or younger. Our Membership application can be found in the pro shop or downloaded here.
Summer Golf Camps
We are thrilled to announce the upcoming Junior Golf Camp, and we would love for your child to be part of this exciting experience! This camp is designed to introduce young golfers to the sport while improving their skills in a fun and supportive environment.

The camp is open to children of all skill levels, from beginners to those with more experience. Our team of expert instructors will guide your child through fundamental techniques, including putting, driving, chipping, and course etiquette. Most importantly, they’ll have a great time while making new friends and learning valuable life skills.

To confirm your child’s spot in camp, you can make payments through the golf shop either cash or check. Please just have it in an envelop and made out to Eddie Francis, or you can pay via Venmo @efrancis19
